Description

STIP ID WA-10773 The project will rehabilitate Bridges 5/820E, 5/822E and 5/822W on I-5 by removing the existing asphalt, reapplying a waterproofing membrane (deck seal), and repaving the bridge decks with HMA. As of April 13, 2023, this project is in Design status. Preliminary engineering has begun and environmental design completed in the third quarter of 2025. The contract advertisement is expected in fourth quarter of 2026 and construction is anticipated to be operationally complete in the fourth quarter of 2027. WSDOT - I-5/Squalicum Creek to SR 539 - Bridge Deck Overlays *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
