Description

As of 6/1/2022, project has not been awarded yet. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The Work shall include furnishing all tools, labor, materials, equipment, and miscellaneous items necessary for the complete construction of approximately 2,900 LF of stabilization inCountry Club Creek West through the construction of three, 150ft-wide concrete dr p structure spillways (over 4,600 CY of concrete total), over 83,000 CY of channel excavation, over 115,000 CY of embankment fill, over 35,000 CY of large diameter riprap, and 240LF of permanent steel sheet piling. The work also includes the development of a phased construction plan within a creek supported in part by the design of cofferdams, excavation safety systems, care of surface water plan, and a dewatering plan to protect the work, site, equipment, and personnel and identify and mitigate potential temporary increased flooding during construction to the park, roads, or areas upstream and downstream of the project. Other project components include a prefabricated pedestrian bridge, trail work, native landscape planting, irrigation, and landscape maintenance. Attendance is mandatory unless otherwise stated. Bidders must attend any mandatory SiteVisit and are encouraged to attend any non-mandatory Site-Visit. If the Site-Visit is mandatory the Bidder must arrive and sign-in within fifteen (15) minutes of the scheduled start time of the Site-Visit, otherwise the Bidder will not be allowed to submit a Bid for the project. All City procurements are subject to the City's Minority-Owned and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Procurement Program found at Chapter 2-9-A of the City Code, as amended. The Program provides Minority-Owned and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MBEs/WBEs) or Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) full opportunity to participate in all City contracts. Goals for MBE/WBE or DBE participation are stated for each solicitation. Information on achieving the goals or documenting good faith efforts to achieve the goals are contained in the MBE/WBE Procurement Program Package or DBE Procurement Program Package attached to the solicitation. When goals are established, Bidders are required to complete and return the MBE/WBE or DBE Compliance Plan with their Bid. If a Compliance Plan is not submitted prior to the date and time set forth in the solicitation, the Bid will not be accepted for consideration. (See Section 00820 for MBE/WBE requirements on "no goal" solicitations.) All Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid guaranty in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Bid. Bid guaranty will be a Bid bond with Power of Attorney attached, issued by a solvent surety authorized under laws of the State of Texas and acceptable to OWNER. For Bidders electing to submit Bids and Bid Guaranties electronically via Austin Finance Online, Bid Guaranties will be verified by the Owner prior to bid certification and electronic copies of Bid Guaranties will not be returned to Bidders. When performance and/or payment bonds are required, each shall be issued in an amount equal to the Contract Amount as security for the faithful performance and/or payment of all Contractor's obligations under the Contract Documents. Performance and payment bonds shall be issued by a solvent corporate surety authorized to do business in the State of Texas, and shall meet any other requirements established by law or by OWNER pursuant to applicable law. Contract Time is of the essence and all Work shall be substantially completed within seven hundred and thirty (730) Calendar Days after date specified in the Notice to Proceed, in accordance with the Bid Form, Section 00300. Final completion shall be achieved within sixty (60) Calendar Days after substantial completion. Liquidated damages are thirteen hundred dollars ($1,300) per Calendar Day for failure to substantially complete the work and four hundred dollars ($400) per Calendar Day for failure to achieve final completion within sixty (60) days Calendar Days after substantial completion, in accordance with the Bid Form, Section 00300.
