Acceptability of the evidence related to the two projects is at the sole discretion of the Department. The improvements under this contract consist of construction of a new interchange at SR 400 (I-4).The new interchange includes the construction of three interchange ramps, a collector-distributor roadway, and a diverging diamond interchange on Daryl Carter Parkway. Improvements include one new ramp bridge, modifications to the existing bridge on Daryl Carter Parkway, additional lanes along SR 400 (I-4),and updates to the existing Drainage, Signage, Pavement Markings, Lighting, Signalization and ITS facilities in the project area. This Contract also contains the construction of modifications the storm drain conveyance network connecting the Valencia Water Control District facilities to Big Sand Lake through the SR 400 (I-4) and Central Florida Parkway Interchange area in Orange County, FL. An existing ditch will be closed and piped and new cross drains will be installed underneath Palm Parkway and SR 400 (I-4). For bids over $150,000.00, the standard proposal guaranty of 5% of the bid will be required, unless otherwise stipulated in the proposal advertisement. A Proposal Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the total actual bid in the form of either a certified check, cashier's check, trust company treasurer's check, bank draft of any national or state bank, or a Surety Proposal Guaranty made payable to the Florida Department of Transportation must be received for each bid in excess of $150,000.00 A 100% Payment and Performance Bond will be required for all projects. All work is to be done in accordance with the Plans, special Provisions of the State of Florida Department of Transportation.
