Commerce/Memorial Water Line Replacement - WT-19-003 - City of Jacksonville

Site work for a water / sewer project in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project. Memorial Drive: Replace all water lines, fire hydrants, and services along Memorial Drive and Memorial Court. The water line along Memorial Drive is located behind back of curb for the majority of the road with the exception where it crosses to the other side at the curve. Commerce Road: Replace the 6" and 8" water lines, hydrants and services from Western Blvd to end of Commerce Road. Staff has identified a need to evaluate the existing water lines along these roads. The project estimate reflects the cost for full replacement of all water lines within these roads. Staff will assess the current infrastructure to determine the most feasible way to make the necessary repairs. As of July 13, 2022, this project is currently in the FY 2023-2027 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2026. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2026 *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
