McKinney Avenue/Cole Two-Way Conversion

The Project includes the design and construction of the roadways shown on the conceptual drawing for the McKinney Ave/Cole Two-way Conversion and as described briefly below. a. Conversion of 4.5 miles of roadways along McKinney Avenue from Allen Street to Harvard Avenue, Harvard Avenue from McKinney Avenue to Cole Avenue, Cole Avenue from Harvard Avenue to Carlisle Street, Carlisle Street from Cole Avenue to Allen Street and Allen Street from Carlisle Street to McKinney Avenue from one-way operation to two-way operation. b. Remove and relocate approximately 0.5 miles of trolley track and the associated overhead catenary system (OCS) on Blackburn Street from McKinney Avenue to Cole Avenue, Cole Avenue from Blackburn Street to Lemmon Avenue, and Allen Street from Cole Avenue to McKinney Avenue c. Full reconstruction of Cole Avenue from Blackburn Street to Lemmon Avenue and Allen Street from Cole Avenue to McKinney Avenue d. Full reconstruction of the McKinney-Allen-Oak Grove Intersection. e. Full reconstruction of the Carlisle-Allen-Sneed intersection including the abandonment of a portion Sneed Street. f. Partial reconstruction of Blackburn Street from McKinney Avenue to Cole Avenue. The City’s current total design-build estimate for the improvements to be developed as part of the Project as described above is approximately $19,952,500.00. The anticipated construction duration of the Project is two years. The City intends to hold a virtual Industry Workshop via Microsoft Teams on 4/20/2021 at 2:00 PM.
