Consultant Services on the following project: Applied Sciences Building. The services of this solicitation include, but are not limited to, commissioning of the building control, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, fire alarm, data and distributed antenna systems of the project. The Applied Sciences Building will be a renovation and expansion of the existing William Stewart Building located to the south of Presidents Circle between the Crocker Science Center and Pioneer Memorial Theatre. It will be the home of the Department of Physics & Astronomy and the Department of Atmospheric Sciences and include a variety of instructional and research spaces. To support student success the building will include state of the art classrooms, lecture halls, experimental laboratories, computer laboratories, student research laboratories, collaboration/interaction spaces, an observatory, planetarium, community engagement facilities, along with meeting, office and support spaces. The scope of the project includes demolition of the east wing of the existing Fletcher Building (to the North of Presidents Circle along 100 South), extensive renovation of the historic 40,000 square foot Stewart Building along with all new MEP and related systems, and a new 100,000 square foot east-to-west oriented wing on the west side of the Stewart Building. The project also includes demolition of the east wing of the James Fletcher Building reconfiguration of the remaining building systems to serve the remaining portion of the building.
