The project will include the construction of a new 39,400 square foot aviation center with a flight school, two hangar bays and two stories of office space. New Aviation Center at Sioux Gateway Airport/ Brigadier General Bud Day Field - City of Sioux City The project is located at the Sioux Gateway Airport, 2403 Aviation Boulevard, and includes the construction of an approximately 299' x 117' (approximately 35,720 square ft) aircraft hangaralong with interior buildout, a 5,000 SF second floor consisting of the structural floor, and code required stairs to access the second floor (Bid Schedule A). Bid Schedule B includes the construction of an access road and parking lot, drainage, and utility connections. Bid Schedule C includes the rehabilitation of the existing apron. Bid alternate 1 includes the interior buildout of the second floor to allow for the successful operation of the future tenant. Alternate No.1 includes the addition of epoxy flooring to the hangar bays. Alternate No. 2 includes the build-out of the maintenance office space to allow for the successful operation by the future tenant.
