Bonita Drive Pathway and Drainage Project

The Bonita Drive Pathway & Drainage Project includes the construction of a concrete pathway, ranging from 8' to 10' along the south side of Bonita Drive, from Old US 41 Road to Streetsboro Lane. (~2,610 LF) To accommodate the new pathway, the City will be converting the south side swale drainage to a closed drainage system. The roadway stormwater runoff will be collected through a series of slot drain systems, and the drainage will be redirected to mimic existing outfall conveyances. The project also includes some drainage modifications at Old 41 Road. The existing storm sewer crossing will be replaced and upsized to a 24" RCP and replaced and improved to the south east corner of Bonita Drive. Also to be constructed, will be a pedestrian crosswalk, across Old 41 Road, on the south approach of the intersection of Bonita Drive. The crosswalk includes the construction of a raised island with brick pavers, landscaping and irrigation. Rectangular rapid flashing beacon (RRFB-Solar) sign assemblies will also be installed. The project includes the landscaping and beautification of the pathway corridor, along with the installation of an irrigation system.
