Description | Pankow is seeking certified Local, Small, Emerging, Disabled Veteran business enterprise subcontractor bid proposals for the scopes of work listed below for the new Academic Complex #1 building at LA Valley College (LAVC). Bid packages will be released on 3/13/23 directly from the CM and bids will be due by 2pm on 3/29/23. Primary Bidding Scopes: 03 3543 Polished Concrete Finishing, 04 8200 CMU, 06 2000 Finished Carpentry, 06 4000 Architectural Woodwork, 06 4100 Wood and Plastic Laminate Casework, 07 1416 Cold Fluid Applied Waterproofing, 07 5600 Fluid-Applied Deck Waterproofing, 07 6000 Flashing and Sheet Metal, 07 8120 Intumescent Paint, 07 9500 Expansion Control, 08 1113 Hollow Metal Doors and Frames, 08 1416 Flush Wood Doors, 08 1420 Steel Sound Doors and Frames, 08 7110 Door Hardware, 09 3000 Tile, 09 5000 Wood Panel Ceilings, 09 5113 Acoustical Panel Ceiling Assemblies, 09 9000 Paints and Coatings, 09 9600 High Performance Coating, 09 9623 Graffiti-Resistant Coating Project is scheduled to start construction with sitework Q2 of 2023 with a 24 month construction duration. Interested subcontractors shall be aware that recent and relevant DSA experience is encouraged. Project has a PLA in place and awarded subcontractors will required to be part of the OCIP which has a maximum EMR limit of 1.24. Include at least thirty (30%) participation by Local, Small, Emerging and Disabled Veteran (LSEDV) businesses based on the value of the work by Subcontractor. Subcontractor shall further stipulate that they will meet the goal by either qualifying themselves as an LSEDV or by subcontracting their work to lower tier subcontractors in the amount 0f 30% of the overall value of the subcontract. ? Commits to meeting the goals of the Local, Disadvantaged Local Worker, and Veteran Hiring goals set forth by the District which includes the following: o 35% of all skilled trade positions performing project work shall be: first, from qualified workers residing within the Primary Residency Preference Area; second, from qualified workers residing within the Secondary Residency Preference Area; and third, from qualified workers residing within Los Angeles County. o 10% of all Local Workers performing project work shall be Disadvantaged Local Workers and/or Veterans. o 50% of each craft’s apprentice workforce shall consist, to the extent available, of first year apprentices.
