2022 Street Reconstruction Project

The project involves removing and reconstructing 8th Street from just south of Maple Street to just south of Vine Street. The existing roadway pavement will be removed and replaced, including portions of the side streets. Roadway pavement replacement is being bid as PCC versus HMA alternate and includes subgrade preparation and subbase material. Storm sewer cross runs and intakes will be modified, removed and replaced, and relocated as shown in the plans. Driveways will be replaced, and sidewalks will be upgraded at intersections and where necessary to facilitate driveway replacement. The sidewalk and roadway surface along the west side of 8th Street at the intersections with Maple Street and Elm Street is the lid of a reinforced concrete box culvert which will be removed and replaced. The project also includes surface restoration, traffic control, and other related works.
