Description

The contingency budget is $5,230,000. Procedures for submitting a Bid, claiming an error, withdrawing of Bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders. HRSD reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive any informalities, or negotiate with the low bidder as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Contractorregistration in accordance with Title 2.2, Chapter 43 and Title 54.1, Chapter 11, Code of Virginia is required. The Project or Work consists of approximately 2 acres of gravel removal, 8 acres of vegetation clearing, and 60,000 cubic yards of material removal (some potentially impacted and requiring appropriate disposal). Proposed improvements include the installation of three (3) construction entrances accessing Terminal Avenue in Newport News, VA, 3 acres of stone laydown and access roads, and the installation of erosion control measures including a sediment basin, sediment trap, silt fence, and inlet protection to prepare the site for pump station and tank construction. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid shall be submitted electronically with each Bid.
