Description

All potholes shall be patched prior to resurfacing. Intersections when needed will be milled for a smooth transition. Roadways without curbing will be edged and sweep before resurfacing. Roadways with curbing will be cleaned and free of vegetation prior to resurfacing. Contractor will arrange work so it will not interfere with normal flow of daily traffic. Contractor will arrange a work schedule to accommodate schools and school crossings at times when they are in use. Resurfacing will be done with minimum two inch of type S-1 or better asphalt. Roads to be milled will be done at a minimum of one inch. New surfacing will be done to insure a smooth transition around manholes in the paved area. Manhole ring and cover adjustments will be preformed by contractor. Approved risers manufactured by East Jordan Ironworks. All traffic control and detouring will be the responsibility of contractor. The City reserves the right to use any or all milling removed from City streets.
