Description

Springfield Utility Board (SUB) seeks a contractor to install underground facilities consisting of one (1) threeinch (3") conduit for new underground electric distribution cable for the entire length of the project and two (2) two-inch (2") conduits for a section of the project. The work will consist of directional boring and trenching at 2686 & 2667 Viewmont Avenue and a vault installation at 2667 Viewmont Avenue. Trench approximately 40 feet of one (1) two-inch (2") conduit between junction box at 2686 Viewmont Avenue and meterbase at 2686 Viewmont Avenue. Bore approximately 50 feet of one (1) three-inch (3") conduit between junction box at 2686 Viewmont Avenue and junction box at 2580 Viewmont Avenue. Sweep up at each junction box. Trench approximately 20 feet of two (2) three-inch (3") conduit from junction box at 2686 Viewmont Avenue Southeast to road crossing across from new vault 22A016 location. Cap and mark one (1) conduit. Sweep one (1) conduit under water and gas line to connect to old vault 94N108. Bore approximately 50 feet of two (2) three-inch (3") conduits across Viewmont Avenue. Sweep one (1) conduit into old vault 94N108. Install one (1) conduit directly into new vault 22A016 and extend this conduit at 2686 Viewmont Avenue past the gas and water line then cap and mark. Install new 4'x 4' Vault # 22A016 at 2667 Viewmont Avenue. Trench approximately 5 feet of one (1) three-inch (3") conduit between new vault 22A016 and old vault 94N108. Bore approximately 40 feet of one (1) two-inch (2") conduit from new vault 22A016 to the Northeast corner of 2629 Viewmont Avenue. Sweep up within two feet (2') from front of garage. Bore approximately 40 feet of one (1) two-inch (2") conduit from new vault 22A016 to the Northwest corner of 2667 Viewmont Avenue. Sweep up near existing meter base. Bore approximately 80 feet of one (1) three-inch (3") conduit between new vault 22A016 and junction box at 2581 Viewmont Avenue. Sweep up at junction box. Bore approximately 80 feet of one (1) three-inch conduit between new vault 22A016 and junction box at 2673 Viewmont Avenue. Sweep up at junction box. Conduits are to be installed per SUB specifications. Contractor shall restore any disturbed landscaping and asphalt/concrete to original condition or better. Contractor is responsible for requesting underground utility locates, private locates and is responsible for pot holing as necessary.
