Description | As of Jan 10 the project was awarded to Sichler Construction LLC, awarded amount not available. The project involves the excavation and removal of accumulated sediment from the upstream side of the Sebastian Martin - Black Mesa Watershed Dam Site #18 in Alcalde, New Mexico, and the associated disposal of this sediment on an undeveloped parcel of land owned by Rio Arriba County adjacent to the Alcalde Elementary School. Bidders on this project must be licensed New Mexico Contractors. All bidders must indicate their current New Mexico Contractor's License Number and classification on the outside of the sealed envelope. Working time for this Contract is sixty (60) calendar days. Time will be counted from the date of Notice to Proceed. Bidders are expected to inspect the site of the work and to inform themselves regarding all local conditions. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or a Bid Bond acceptable to the Upper Rio Grande Watershed District in an amount which shall be not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, payable without condition to the Upper Rio Grande Watershed District as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will, within forty-five (45) days, execute such contract in accordance with the proposal and in the manner and form required by the contract documents and will furnish good and sufficient bond for the faithful performance of the same, and for payment for all labor and material.The bid security of the three lowest bidders will be retained until the contract is awarded or other disposition is made thereof. The successful bidder, simultaneously with the execution of the contract, will be required to furnish a faithful Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount and a Labor and Material Payment Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount.The said bonds shall be secured from a surety company satisfactory to the Upper Rio Grande Watershed District, authorized to do business in the State of New Mexico, and shall be listed as a surety company acceptable for Federal Bonds by the U.S. Department of the Treasury as published in the Federal Register Circular 570, 1989 Revision, and shall cover construction contracts in excess of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000). The forms of the bonds of the successful bidder will be required to execute are included in the contract documents. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Proposals or Bids, to waive technicalities, to make any investigation deemed necessary of a Bidder's ability to perform the work covered by the Specifications, and to accept what in the judgement of the Owner is the best bid. |
