US 2 Et Al NCR Guardrail Update 21-23

Weathering steel beam guardrail is experiencing unexpected corrosion. Replace weathering steel beam guardrail with aesthetic guardrail alternatives. These actions will enhance motorist safety by reducing the severity of collisions occurring when a vehicle leaves the roadway. Included sections are: US 97 MP 152.73 to MP 178.03 and SR 2 MP 57.49 to MP 98.53. As of October 25, 2022, this project is in Final Planning status. Preliminary engineering has begun and environmental design is expected to be complete in the Third quarter of 2022. The contract advertisement is expected in Fourth quarter of 2022 and construction is anticipated to be operationally complete in the Fourth quarter of 2023.
