Canalway Trail Lock E-18 To Route 167 On The Erie Canal

Install temporary erosion and sediment control devices prior to disturbing any areas; Install work zone traffic control signage; Clear as necessary, cut trees, excavate and grade to construct a 10-foot wide asphalt shared use path; Construct swales and ditches, and install storm pipes and culverts for drainage; Rehabilitate existing bridge, remove existing deck and replace with Glulam Timber Bridge Deck System, install bridge rail system; Construct GRS retaining walls, bridge abutments, and single span prestressed concrete solid slab unit pedestrian bridges; Install railing systems, ROW fencing and landscaping for the proposed trail; Reconstruct and resurface portions of Lock E-18 access road and parking area; Install signage and pavement markings on the trail at all public road crossings, along Lock E-18 access road terminus, along length of proposed project trail, and at confluence with existing Empire State Trail system; Landscaping including planting trees and shrubs; Remove temporary erosion and sediment control devices upon completion of permanent stabilization of all disturbed areas; Remove work zone traffic signage control
