2020-2022 Concrete Curb Installation

Install concrete curbing in accordance with Technical Specifications Section 609 1. City will excavate trench, install offset string lines, and install 1a stone bedding 2. City will perform all backfilling and restoration 3. Contractor must coordinate with City to confirm concrete delivery schedule, quantities and any other needs B. Curb specifications 1. Curbs shall be 18” high with 6” reveal above finish pavement elevation (reveal subject to adjustment in field by City) Top of curb width shall be 6” wide with 1/8” pitch towards roadway Curb width shall taper from top to finish pavement elevation, with a width at finish pavement elevation of 7” to 9” 2. NYSDOT Class J Concrete No water reducer or fly ash will be added 3. Contractor to furnish and apply a clear membrane curing compound with fugitive dye conforming to the requirements of Membrane Curing Compound §711-05 of NYSDOT Standard Specifications on all freshly cast curbs 4. Driveway cut widths and tapers to be determined by City in field 5. Driveway cuts shall have 1” lip above finish pavement elevation, unless otherwise directed by Owner 6. Safety Data Sheets (SDS) shall be kept on site at all times, and supplied to the City upon request 7. Typical curb details are shown
